Dubai Beaches

Many of the best beaches in the United Arab Emirates are in Dubai. Some of those beaches are directly connected to the hotels and sometimes not available to other guests; however, there are many public beaches open to everyone with no cost or other requirements.

Jumeirah Beach Park

One of the most popular public beaches in Dubai is Jumeirah Beach Park and was the first beach park that opened in 1989 on a 13-hectare island. The beach has white sand and grassland and is a favorite location among the residents of Dubai. The entry fee per person is AED 5 and AED 20 per car.

The beach is ½ miles long and usually never gets too crowded. There are many different facilities including barbeque and children's play areas.

The beach got its name after the district of Jumeirah in Dubai. The beach has borders with the Jumeirah district, Umm Suqeim, and Al Sufouh, and the neighborhood is sometimes referred to as Jumeirah Beach Road area.

The beach consists of large hotels, including Burj Al Arab, resorts and housing developments.

Park also features facilities for disabled people, and there are special parking lots available.

Umm Suqeim Beach

Umm Suqeim Beach, also known as sunset beach, located in the western part of Dubai, throughout the Jumeirah Beach coastline, is an attractive sandy beach with views of the Burj Al Arab. It is very famous among the kitesurfers. The beach is quite popular among the residents of Jumeirah. It is mostly known as an excellent place for surfing and fishing. The beach is completely free and open to the public. During the weekdays, the park is open only to females and children. The beach is 16 kilometers (10 miles) from downtown and is easily reached by car or public transport.  The beach is a perfect place to see the sunset and enjoy the view to Burj Al Arab. 

Al Mamzar Beach Park

The Al Mamzar beach park, located in the Al Mamzar area, features an open amphitheater, green fields, and barbeque areas. The barbeque areas at the park have their grills, tables, and chairs. There are over 1,600 palm trees and 300 coconut trees. The entry fee is AED 5 per person. The beach is quite large, spread over 106 hectares. There are five different beaches at the beach park and are perfect destinations for jet ski lovers, as jet skis are available to rent. The park is also an ideal destination for visitors wanting to take a long walk along the beach and enjoy views to Dubai's Skyline.

La Mer

La Mer is a newly developed, world-class beachfront. There are numerous stores, street art, restaurants, a water park, changing facilities, and sunbeds available. The restaurants are diverse and vary from each other with their menus and style. There is everything - starting from burgers to a fancy decent meal. The beach is very colorful with the modern architecture of facilities. There is a movie theatre near the beach. 

DRIFT Beach Dubai

The beach promises a mixture of elegant and casual style. The beach is private and offers a fascinating view to Palm Island Bay from its swimming pool. The DRIFT is known for its restaurant and a bar. The food at the beach emphasizes organic ingredient and freshness. 

Al Sofouh Beach

With a nickname "a secret beach," the Al Sofouh Beach is hidden between busy 5-star hotels of Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab and is hidden behind a row of palm trees. Because of its location, it is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the quiet setting and avoid the crowd. The beach does not have many facilities to offer, but that is precisely why the beach is so unique. 

JBR Beach

If you want to visit the busiest beach in Dubai, JBR beach is a beautiful choice. Although there are always lots of people gathered at the beach, the size of it is quite big and allows space for various activities such as, jet skiing, flyboarding, banana boarding, playing volleyball, and jogging. There are different restaurants, breakfast spots, cafes, a cinema, and playgrounds. There is a train that kids can enjoy or a camel ride along the beach for guests to enjoy the view to the city's landscape. The beach is excellent for jogging and running as there is a 600-meter long running track. For visitors wishing to workout at the beach, there is a free outdoor gym. Outdoor yoga classes are also available for people wanting to meditate and practice yoga at the beach. 

Kite Beach

As the name suggests, the beach is popular among people loving to kitesurf.

It is a great beach to visit in groups and spend time with family or friends. Water sports are quite popular here, and guest can water ski, kayak, or even paddleboard. It is also a good location for jogging. There is a volleyball court available to guests. There are also about 40 different cafes, restaurants, and various stores in the shopping area.

Royal Island Beach Club

The Club is open for the public and covers an area of almost 40,000 square meters. The Beach Club consists of various international restaurants, swimming pools, extensive beach areas, and event areas. It is a perfect spot for guests looking forward to having a 5-star meal while enjoying a view of Dubai's Skyline.

Dubai Ladies Club Beach

As the name suggests, the beach is exclusively for women in Dubai and is a part of the Dubai Ladies Club offering women to enjoy privacy and luxury at the beach. To access the beach, ladies should hold either a day pass or membership. The Ladies Club Beach features gyms, swimming pools, restaurants, spas and more. It is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Jebel Ali Beach

The beach is a popular destination in cooler days to have a barbeque and have a picnic. It does not offer many facilities but is entry free location. The beach is open from sunrise to sunset, and there are changing facilities and restrooms available on-site.                                                                                         

Nikki Beach 

Jack Penrod created Nikki Beach in 1998 and was the first luxury beach club combining elements of music, entertainment, food, fashion, film, and art. Nikki Beach club has beaches all around the world including Dubai. The beach in Dubai is located near Palm Jumeirah on the Arabian Gulf and features fascinating architecture and white design.
